Five levels and/or types of Courts serve Cumberland County: Supreme, Provincial, Family, Small Claims, and Probate.
The Supreme Court sits in the courthouse on Victoria Street East but its administration office is on Church Street.
Some Judges who sit in Amherst also preside in the courthouse in Truro and
vice versa.
An Adjudicator presides over Small Claims Court and the Registrar presides over Probate Court.
