Courts of Nova Scotia Enter The "Twitterverse"
To better serve the general public, the media, and the legal profession, the Courts of Nova Scotia are now “tweeting” news and information about the Courts, decisions of the Courts, and notices to the Bar.
The Nova Scotia Courts are the first Courts in Canada to use this internet technology. It replaces a similar but outdated notification technology on the Courts website known as RSS Feeds.
Several Twitter accounts have been set up on the Courts of Nova Scotia website. Each is specific to the needs of prospective subscribers. But anyone can choose to "follow".
News of the Courts: Follow news about the Courts as it is posted on the website.
These Tweets will be in addition to News Releases regularly e-mailed directly to the media. |
Notices To The Bar: Receive notices important to the legal profession as they are posted on the website. These Tweets include notices about Court schedules, the Law Courts Prothonotary’s “Hints And Tips” newsletter, amendments to the Civil Procedure Rules, and changes to the On-line Dockets of the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court in Kentville/Windsor, and the Bankruptcy Court.
Decisions of the Courts: Receive Tweets when the Courts post new decisions on the website. These Tweets will link you directly to the decision itself. Choose to receive Tweets about decisions released by any one or all of the Courts. |
