Subscribe to the Courts Website RSS Feed Service

Notifies you automatically when:

  1. news items are added to the home page
  2. newly released decisions are added to the decisions page
  3. the Court of Appeal posts a new docket or makes changes to it
  4. the Bankpurtcy Court posts a new docket or makes changes to it
  5. the Civil Procedure Rules are amended
  6. the Judiciary has a notice for members of the Bar

If you would like to be notified automatically when the Courts website changes, these notices can now be provided to you through this website's RSS feed service.

Many of the latest versions of web browser programs have built-in RSS Feed Readers. For example, in Internet Explorer, open the "Favorites" sidebar and click on "Feeds". To subscribe to be notified of changes to the specific pages of the Courts of Nova Scotia website listed below, simply click on the appropriate "RSS" logo in the left column. Then in the upper left of the page that comes up, click on "Subscribe to this feed". In the dialogue box that comes up, click the "Subscribe" button.

The Courts of Nova Scotia website's RSS Feed service also works in conjunction with stand-alone RSS reader programs which you install on your computer. There are several free sources of RSS reader software to choose from on the internet.

Once you have downloaded and installed the RSS reader of your choice, go to the page(s) on the Courts website which you want to be notified about or use the links in the table below to subscribe to the RSS Feed Service.

    1. Click on the "RSS" icon of the page you want to be notified about
    2. Copy the URL (address) of the new page that comes up
    3. Open your new RSS reader program
    4. Paste the URL of the new page into the "Address" box
    5. Hit "Enter" (in some reader programs)
    6. Click "Subscribe"

Now, every time you open your stand-alone RSS reader program, and click on the name of one of the pages you have subscribed to, any new items which have been added to the Courts website will appear (you may have to click on "Refresh" on some readers to bring up new notices). Some of these program will also notify you of new notices automatically.
